I'm slightly vexed Entitled Traveler Aisle 14

5.5 hour coast to coast flight. He boarded before me (aisle). I had to bend down and wave in his face to get him to see me during boarding (I had window). He did the whole audible sigh and dramatic show of how I had clearly inconvenienced him. He finally got up and out of his seat BUT refused to unplug his phone from the seat back charger in front of him, so all 5’ 10” of me had to crawl under his cord to get to my seat. Whatever, turd move, but whatever. Anyway, cabin door closes and I was pretty excited that the middle passenger didn’t show up—until Entiltled Aisle dude decides that all of his spent snack wrappers should be pushed as close to me as possible. And he was very particular about it. Spent several minutes ensuring each wrapper was pushed as close as possible to my seat. What is wrong with people!?!?

Probably when people proved that doxxing, threatening, punching, spitting on, or shooting someone over a minor thing was how shit’s going to be handled now.

When standing up to people meant you risk having a video of it going viral for the world to see. Or having a deranged lunatic attack you. Or both.

get a grip. you unplug the cord or ask them to unplug it. Then sit in your seat. done. You then give rubbish to hosty as they pass. again...done, end of story.

Sir, this isn’t about us. I agree with you. I would rip that cord out and whip it at that fucker and swipe all that trash onto his feet, but I understand what makes people tolerate the poor behavior of others in public.

A video of what? You unplugging the person's phone because it was in your way then plugging it back in behind you? Oh no, the public shame!

Did you not see the video and hear about the woman who went viral because she refused to give up the seat she paid for..?

And she's likely about to make millions from that. Have a backbone.

A video like the hundreds we've all seen of someone in an altercation that probably started with something innocent...like unplugging someone's phone cord?

It's not hard to understand why some people might choose to avoid confrontation these days when everything ends up on video.

Nailed it.

You could have just asked him to unplug the cord as you got to your seat. “Excuse me, can you unplug the cord so I can get in?” If you are polite and have a reasonable request, most people will oblige. You are assuming he is being malicious vs the higher likelihood of him being oblivious
