Pictures do not do the before pic justice- it had at least a millimeter of dust packed up under the keys, worm casings and other nasty stuff in it. Previous owner mustve smoked, it had tons of grime baked into the plastic. Had to scrub every single key and deep clean the board, and the case and keys had to soak to leech out all the grime

Sadly I didn't know it was membrane before I ordered it, but it's my responsibility to care for it. Some of the keys don't press very easily, or only press if you hit the key from the center and push straight down. Can I lube the keys or anything to aid this?

My newest build! This is an Athena75, built with GMK Yuri keycaps (finally, after nearly three months) and Keygeek Y2 switches. I went through 30+ switches before finally settling on these, and I could not be happier. Just wanted to share! 😊

Well, with less than a year of use, and not even that consistently, one of the LEDs on the front light bar is acting up and only lights up yellow, and sometimes green. It kinda triggers my OCD seeing it like that. I don't know whether I should sell it and get a replacement or just ignore it, since the keyboard itself still works perfectly fine.

As for getting a replacement, it could be any other 65% keyboard. Still, the thing is, this keyboard isn't even a year old, and it's just this one minor issue. Not to mention that selling it wouldn't be easy either. I don't know, I'm mostly just sharing this here as a little anecdote. Most likely, I just got unlucky.

Picked up a used GMK67 v2 barebones kit for about USD 22 as a way to use up some of the leftover bits I had lying around.

It's the most satisfying build I've ever done.

• Completely disassembled and cleaned.
• Kept/used the included PC plates well as the all the foams (case, plate and IXPE)
• Tempest mod with basic masking tape (x2 layers)
• Disassembled, cleaned, tuned, Holee modded and relubed the stabs (Krytox 205g to the housings, TermoPasty silicone/PTFE grease to the wires)
• Used the (lightly hand-lubed) Akko v3 Blue tactiles I had lying around forever
• Finished it off with my 'This is plastic' extra thicc XDA keycaps (PBT) from Ali Express

Sweet Baby Jeebus does this sound and feel amazing, I did not expect it to be this good… I'm blissed out right now just typing on the thing. All the components came together in just the right way.

Yes there is thock, but it's mostly marbly with a good dose of 'pop'. A very clean sound. The typing feel is snappy with a round yet positive tactile bump and I think these thick-walled keycaps have helped to eliminate the cheap-sounding bottom/top-out from the Akkos that were present in every previous build.

Marvellous.

Continuing my adventure by going less keys each builds, this is the latest addition to my builds, a 29 keys unibody keyboard.
Been using it for a month and happy with the result.
Super compact, still maintaining the same layer (minimum adaptation, except for the space key position).

First post here after lurking these past few years.

This project was mostly just a quick refresh build of my old (and first) custom mechanical keyboard build. It started as an Anodized Pine Green Tofu65 2.0. I recently got back into mechanical keyboards after my girlfriend brought it up so while waiting for our new keyboard kits to come in, I decided to give it a refresh.
