Due to previous complaints about parts of my simulations being too slow or too fast I've added population density data to this and adjusted the speed limit per square kilometer with this formula: m = 1 + 1.09 × d / (d + 5000) where m is the multiple (ranges from 1 to 2.09) and d is the population density in that square kilometer. This reduces the total error from 25% (when you follow exact speed limits) to 12%. This was as low as I could get it on a large sample of global routes with population density being the only additional variable. The error is largely balanced on both the too slow and too fast sides. Key areas that have large errors include country borders and places that have low density but high traffic throughput for whatever reason.

States where US Cabinet members served* before taking office, from 2001 onward, with the number of members shown for each state. The second and third maps give party breakdown
*In this context, served means served as a governor, senator, house representative, chair of the state university system, attorney general, head of education etc. Not all cabinet members served positions like that, I left them.
