lol this is how parents end up with kids sleeping in their bedrooms until they are 12

u/NCGuy101 2d ago

And pissing their bed. Serves em right.

u/Metals4J 3d ago

And you know that whole night terrors with bed wetting thing we finally made it through? Guess what? It’s back!

2

u/BagOnuts 2d ago

As a parent who has two kids who went through night-terror stages, they are typically not caused by external stimulation and are mostly genetic. Night terrors are a form of non-REM parasomnias- same thing as sleep walking.

When did people get so soft?

-1

u/Long_Procedure_2629 3d ago

Nah this is NC at 18, and forced into a home ASAP

2

u/hereticofthestate 3d ago

I didn't go NC when it my parents did it to me. I guess I'm just not as soft as the lot of you

u/Keji70gsm 3d ago

You'll process it in your 40s.

2

u/hereticofthestate 3d ago

I am in my 40's

u/Keji70gsm 3d ago

Enjoy the ride.

2

u/hereticofthestate 2d ago

Your theory was wrong so keep coping. As I have gotten older I have appreciated what my parents did even more.

u/Keji70gsm 2d ago

Yikes.

The Fall of Western Civilization ... sacrificing the well-being of children so you get some more eyeballs watching you torture the people you supposedly love most

u/kennqueen 3d ago

I can’t even imagine scaring my little gson to garner views or “laughs“ by idiots.

u/Falcon8410 3d ago

True I do it for the love of the game. not social media .

6

u/rollingrob76 3d ago

Right? My parents did it to me long before social media. I did it to my kids but never posted it

haunted houses have been around for a while

1

u/Da_Question 3d ago

Tbf, when you go to a haunted house you expect to be scared. I don't think these kids were expecting anything just going into the bathroom to film a video saying "I love my mom"... Big difference.

My parents scared my siblings and I with Jason on Halloween 🎃 as kids really traumatized us lol then our friends a couple blocks aways dressed up as leather face we ran like our life depended on it he had a chain saw

u/VeryDisturbed82 3d ago

I just scare them without recording

7

u/XanZibR 3d ago

True, we need to return to the Golden Age when folks tormented each other just for shits & giggles

2

u/hereticofthestate 3d ago

You pearl clutchers will be the fall of Western civilization. This will do the opposite

4

u/Supawoww 3d ago

Oh now it’s “torture”

You people are soft and insufferable lmao

-1

u/Long_Procedure_2629 3d ago

Yeah because Edge Lord tough guy is def the way to be...

2

u/Supawoww 3d ago

Lmao ok princess

u/axkidd82 3d ago

Parents have been pranking/scaring their kids since the dawn of time.

1

u/Paulus_Atreides 7h ago

These are sophisticated, photo relaostic scares, and being used for clout. Not like Mom jumpscaring me in 3rd grade. These kids seem to be 4-7?

3

u/Hollywood_Co 3d ago

This comment is equal parts hyperbolic & absurd.

1

u/DogAffectionate6190 3d ago

There was a “trend” a few years back where people would record themselves throwing sliced cheese into their kids faces,a few of them where literal babies!! Throwing a cheese slice into your babies face for strangers to react to….people are fucked in the head

1

u/Boston_7713 3d ago

The parents who did this are sick. The ones who then wouldn’t let their children out of the bathroom when they were scared are just demented.

1

u/absolutepanicattack 3d ago

Right. Lets return to the Glory of Rome where children were sacrosanct and well treated.

1

u/BDBoop 3d ago

I hope they have enough money to pay for the therapy these kids are gonna need.

1

u/Just-Syrup-8723 2d ago

Well being? They'll get over it and realize its a prank, you guys are so soft

1

u/zeusdieg 1d ago

"Torture"...oh ffs.

1

u/UnexpectedBlahFeels 3d ago

People have to have fun with their kids lol.

2

u/ThreeGoldStars 3d ago

There are a lot ofways to have fun. Usually best when the feeling is mutual.

For real if my wife did that to our daughter, she would be single and without any visitation rights.

0

u/hereticofthestate 2d ago

If she did and you reacted that way I would say it's safe to say she wears the pants in that relationship and you probably have to sit to pee.

1

u/ArcadianDelSol Cringe level 5 2d ago

"durr divorcing your wife means you pee sitting down."

What a completely asinine reply.
