Found in Western NC - ID request
Found this big girl(?) just outside the doors of a local building supply store and couldn’t leave her(?) to be smushed. Google tells me it may be an Eastern Rhinoceros Beetle, but I wanted to ask the experts.
Also, I’m a skilled invert keeper and wondering if it would be okay to provide it a home to live inside or would it be best returned to the wild in a more appropriate place than the concrete jungle of a Lowe’s parking lot.
Appreciate any feedback! Thanks all!
Edit: photo in comments because for some reason, I’m not able to include the pic with the post

Beetle larvae has stopped moving
Sorry I don't really use reddit but I've been a bit panicked with my Japanese beetle larvae. It's my first time ever owning beetles and I have a larvae which has stopped moving
I did so much research into beetle care yet only just found out today that handling them causes extreme amounts of stress, and I've been checking on it for a few days now. I checked earlier today and it had stopped digging, it seems to be still alive as it was slightly moving, but won't physically move around the tub and hasn't done all day. That's when I found out you shouldn't handle them at all
I'm only checking once a month from now on, but I've been so stressed out about it I want to know, should the beetle larvae be okay? Or does it seem likely to pass from shock/stress. I can't seem to calm my nerves over it and I feel horrible that I've caused the thing stress :-( I've seen others saying it's a beginner mistake but I'm really hoping it is okay
Any help is appreciated, thank you

The contrast between the matte black head and those reddish-brown elytra is really striking.

My grub smeared poop on the wall
As one does, of course.
Would this be preparing for pupation, the emptying of the gut? It definitely has made itself a cozy cavern and has been there for awhile, tossing and turning every so often.
Or perhaps this is simply chudmaxxing behaviour and nothing more.
3rd instar Xyloryctes Jamaicensis

ID: cool beetles? Found on wall
Anyone know what kind of beetles these are? The one on the wall is about an inch, one on my wrist is less than 1cm (South Korea).

Update post and follow up question
I posted a few days ago talking about how my beetles mandibles are stuck in the shed head of the grub, I did more research and most of the comments said it would be okay but with a little messed mandibles which is okay to me, I don’t want to risk hurting it and removing the shed head myself
Now I checked on it and the mandibles are a lot darker than the rest of the body. Is that normal?
Species: Cyclommatus metallifer finae

care + feeding of my darkling beetle
hi all! long time bug liker, first time beetle keeper and first time poster, too. pics are from before today's food change
this is benji (full name bluntsmök benjamin) and i nabbed him off of my window screen one day. i love him dearly and recently joined reddit, and coming across this sub makes me question my feeding/setup. any advice is welcome
i keep him in a medium critter keeper (abt 10x the length of his body) with a hollow rock hide, coconut substrate/soil, media (eg. rocks, untreated bone bits straight outta nature, other natural media) and he has a plastic water dish (repurposed lid, lip short enough for him to access). i'm open to + have the resources for a diff enclosure/media if this is bad, same w/food
gen advice i got online (and very little of it was specific to keeping darklings from what i could find) was that he'd do fine with beetle jellies or a diet of unprocessed fruits/veggies and meat, so off that i've been feeding him small bits of plain, rinsed deli meat and fresh berries/veggies week, and i remove any old/moldy bits before adding new stuff abt 2x/wk. he stays on a dark, temperate shelf when im not maintaining his tank nd the cloth background is for additional light blockage; i don't handle him bc he's stinky.
barring one instance of him rising from the dead in the week after i started keeping him (i think this may have been a stress response, thats a different story) he's active snd seems to be a very happy, healthy boy: have i been unknowingly depriving him of vital nutrients or like, poisoning him with gmos or something? is beetle jelly the only way?
i rlly appreciate honesty esp if it means a better life for my boy, so don't hold back if this is rlly bad. i want to get better 🫡

Found this little guy at my wall-
So a few years back one of my flatmates had a carpet beetle infestation. Our landlord called the exterminator and that was that. They told me that my room would never be infested cause my carpet is polyester. Now i find this little guy and because ive recently begun to look up insects with an identifier app i realised what it is and that ive found one of these a few times over the years without realising what it was. Should i be worried there is an infestation in my room now?

(Also sharing a printable for free, lemme know if you want it!)

can you estimate when grubs will pupate by weight? (western hercules beetles)
im new to keeping these fellows and its really hard to find information about this species on the internet. can anybody experienced in taking care of this species or closely related ones tell me roughly when these guys will pupate? or do they not really show it? i bought them as what im pretty sure was the 2nd instar and have no idea how old they are exactly.
