Discussion Coach Wayne was a huge know-it-all
I've lost track of how many times ive rewatched this show but on every rewatch, it drives me crazy about how dismissive and know-it-ally he can be. Whenever George rants to him about his problem, Wayne's first response is always how he would have done it better rather than showing empathy to his friend. But when Wayne wad cheated on, George showed nothing but kindness and empathy.
He is also super dismissive about George's problems and gives him unsolicited advice and all of this just makes me think that hes a real jerk. He can be super funny at times but he always picks the worst time to mess with George.

Mary Cooper’s logic in a nutshell 😭
The way she delivered that line with a straight face had me rolling. Zoe Perry captures Laurie Metcalf’s exact tone so well here. What’s your favorite Mary quote from the series?

Discussion Can someone tell me why people hate young Sheldon so much?
Hi everyone,
This maybe controversial but why do people hate Sheldon. I get older sheldon in the BBT is different. But young sheldon especially in season 1 was like an angel. He followed the rules, he overcame his fears of the dog (so that his mom and meemaw wouldn't fight the sparks family), he got over his fear of germs. He was doing his family's taxes and never lied. Ofcourse there are moments where he is rude to Georgie and Missy, but they also call him a freak and a weirdo repeatedly. So I wouldn't consider it any serious that sibling banter. He even encourages his mom to work and handles the splinter situation with Missy. Moreover, I forgot what season but when Mary loses her faith, he says the most heartwarming lines on TV to his mom. Moreover, in the first episode or so he even takes off his mittens when praying with his dad, when his dad explains how the real world works and how he got fired. He fights against bullies and participates even when unpopular. Even when he is socially oblivious he learns things that his siblings and mom teach and even apologizes unconventionally (aka showing the comic movie to his Meemaw and parents to explain he realizes he is wrong.
I really feel he is an endearing child and honestly I would want a kid like him (minus the social obliviousness).

Is it ever explained why Mary become super religious and rigid?
I know they've said Mary wasn't always like this. She definitely didn't get it from her mother. How did she go from a teen getting knocked up by a man with a motorcycle to this? It's been a minute since I've seen the series all the way through.

5th watch of the entire series
I can't get away from this show. I never get to cry and laugh as much as I do and I watch this show even when I know what's coming.

Opinion The Reason Why I hate Young Sheldon
The reason why I HATE Young Sheldon 'cause Sheldon Lee Cooper is really irritating, self-centered, selfish, arrogant, condescending, annoying, spoiled, disrespectful, tattle-telling, snitchy, disobedient, ignorant, a sissy, unathletic, a chicken, an atheist, and very bad at social interactions. Not only that, but his twin-sister named Missy Cooper, is also an atheist, lawbreaker, menace, troublemaker, bad girl, and worst of all... not taking any tests or studying. Their older brother named George Cooper Jr. or "Georgie" for short, is being lazy, not doing well in his school classes, dropping out of school and got a 29-year-old woman pregnant. Well, a 29-year-old woman named Amanda "Mandy" McAllister. He could've found a nice woman who's his age, NOT Mandy's age, 'cause a 17-year-old dating a 29-year-old can be creepy, illegal, and totally a BAD idea. If I were others, I would've dated any woman who's my age in my state of Michigan, but I haven't found one yet. Alright, back to Sheldon. Sheldon is really rude and disrespectful to people who have different intelligence, especially those who have autism like me, dyslexia, stutter, or any different abilities. He could've stayed in the same grade with Missy; he should've stayed OUT of people's business, and he should RESPECT all kinds of dogs and all kinds of birds instead of fearing all of them 'cause the late Brian Barczyk once told us... "don't fear, respect". That's why Sheldon needs to respect everyone and fear no one, except for the Lord our God. Both Sheldon and Missy need to get that atheism crap out of their minds, and they could be more like their mom, Mary Cooper, since she's a Christian and she believes in God. As a matter of fact, Sheldon should NEVER mock the Lord our God, and he could've watched the other shows like everybody else instead of watching Star Trek all the time. Well, I'm not a fan of Star Trek, and I'm not a fan of Young Sheldon, either. All of the episodes of Young Sheldon are really boring, same as SpongeBob SquarePants, and I should tell Sheldon Lee Cooper and other atheistic people... God is REAL and ALIVE, Jesus Christ is REAL and ALIVE, the Holy Spirit is REAL and ALIVE, and Heaven is REAL, but so is Hell. God is our Creator who created the heavens, the earth, and us. I'm defending God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, and so should you! If there's anybody on this website who loves watching Young Sheldon or NOT, I'm here to let you know that I respect your opinions nevertheless.

Theory/Prediction George Sr.’s "Heart Attack" was a staged exit to escape a Rice/SMU gambling syndicate (The Bruh-Man Connection)
Young Sheldon proved Adult Sheldon is a completely unreliable narrator. If he could misinterpret his own mother in a German wig as a mistress, he completely missed the massive underground Texas sports betting ring operating right under his nose. George Sr. didn't die; he pulled a Barrett Robbins and fled to Mexico.
Here is how the financial and historical mechanics actually line up:
The "Other Woman"
Sheldon didn't catch an affair; he walked in on a high-stakes payoff. The woman was an influential Rice booster with deep ties to the Texas college sports betting underground following the SMU death penalty era.
The Parlay Syndicate
George wasn't just breaking down film. He leveraged his knowledge of local Texas high school talent and regional college matchups to run high-stakes parlay sheets, feeding injury info and game plans to point-shavers.
The Rice Offer
The special teams job was a trap. The syndicate gave him an ultimatum: join the staff and fix games from the inside, or get exposed, lose his pension, and face federal prison.
The Baja Escape
Under immense pressure, George hit his breaking point, took off on a bender, cut all ties, and fled across the border to Baja, Mexico, to work as an under-the-table mechanic.
The Meemaw Funnel
Mary and Meemaw staged the cardiac death. Declaring him dead secured the school district pension and life insurance clean. Meemaw used her illegal gambling backrooms to launder the untraceable cash George sent back from Baja, funneling it to Mary weekly.
The Reginald Ballard (Bruh-Man) Connection
The deepest piece of sitcom lore cements this timeline. Actor Reginald Ballard ("Bruh-Man" from Martin) was a real-life, all-district linebacker who played for SMU right before the death penalty hit. In this expanded universe, he fled north to Detroit under a fake identity to escape the exact same Texas sports betting syndicate, while George Sr. took the southern route to Baja.

Opinion "Mary had one kid and George had 5 kids"
I hate these videos, like no Mary did care all of his childrens, but Sheldon needed more attention obviously. And also i hate those "Missy didn't deserve it" Missy literally is always the "enemy". The yt shorts always hated Sheldon. Also wtf you mean George had 5 kids. George was always on coach drinking bear and watching football. Tf people mean when saying George is one of best father of sitcoms. He is one of worsts. He didn't take care of Veronica or Billy what the IG & YT be talking. She took care only a little quarter of him 3 kids.
Example videos.

Discussion Funniest Sheldon quotes Sheldon vs Meemaw
Meemaw: Oh, moral quandaries. I hate those. Shoot.
Sheldon: You're the least moral person I know... How do you live with yourself?
Meemaw: I'm about to shut this door in your face.
Sheldon: See? Other people would feel guilty.
Say what you want about Sheldon but this was GOLD.
Another funny one
In Ukraine, it is considered rude to whistle. I agree, I am not a fan of people who whistle. I find it to be a very unnecessary form of communication, like smoke signals or interpretive dance.

Question Would you actually like Sheldon to be your brother?
I personally asked this to my mom while we we're watching YS multiple times and she always said "no", because she doesn't think she has the sanity for Sheldon, and it is 10 times harder to raise a kid like Sheldon, which is fair. My dad is more optimistic and says why not, for me.. Actually yes, I would. My younger sister too.
What about you?
