I was without a car from November last year to July this year, the whole time finding it harder and more painful to walk, relying more on my wheelchair. My mental health took a massive hit. I finally got my car, a Citroen Berlingo I've called Pru, with adaptive controls and a wheelchair hoist, and I absolutely love it. She gave me my freedom and independence back.
Then after 7 weeks it started throwing up handbrake faults, with no apparent cause. Got it to the garage, they managed to clear it and thought they'd fixed the issue.
Fast forward to yesterday night (Wednesday), it suddenly decides to do it again. Rang the garage today, lovely chap looked it all up and discovered it's now a known problem across the Berlingos, and they're working on a software fix, but they might issue a recall on the car. I'm dreading losing my Pru, she gave me my life back, so I'm hoping it will just be a case of going to the garage, getting the update, and going home.
Today has not been a great day.
