Question: Answered Why you should delete Ubereats
If You're Here, Uber Eats Probably Screwed You Over
Just wanted to put this out there for anyone new to the sub or longtime lurkers. If life has led you here, chances are Uber Eats did you dirty, and you’re searching for answers.
Most responses you’ll get are either “Just move on” or “Spam call/text support until something happens.” And let’s be real—neither feels great or get offer any actual help .
I’ve dealt with my fair share of customer service, from the absolute worst to the weirdly niche, and I can confidently say Uber Eats is top 3 worst. The fact that they’re one of the biggest food delivery apps in the world just makes it worse. How do you dominate the market and still suck this badly?
It’s brutal for both customers and drivers—no real support, refunds are a gamble, and good luck getting anyone to actually listen. I used to love the app—great deals, solid coupons—but now? Pure trash. No offers, no perks, just praying your food arrives with zero issues because if something goes wrong? Good luck getting your money back.
Anyone else feel the same? Or am I just cursed?

The only people benefitting are corporate and the small portion of drivers who just steal the food.

Yeah I mean a while back I watched a whole “satire” series were somebody was mocking those typa of the drivers and at the same time showing you like “how to take food without the costumer knowing” which was wild

If you only report a problem when there is actually a problem, I don’t see them not giving out a refund if you tell them the problem, I don’t understand how other people have this issue

There are at least 10 posts in this subreddit a day about people, customers and drivers, getting screwed, with no help from support.

I mean my guy you just said it yourself, YOU don’t have this issue and You see that others have it, but you just don’t understand meaning the issue exists but you just so happen to be self centred and not get it cause you never had it lol

I think it comes down to the majority of people ordering through them just don't care. There's a reason it was only pizza or Chinese delivered before. Then COVID hit. 3rd party actually served a purpose. People became use to it, so it became a norm.
Working in the restaurant, I see all sorts of stuff ordered that I have to ask myself why?. Fries don't hold well or loaded nachos. Chocolate sundae, that'll be nice when it arrives.
I had an Uber order every single day, for the 2 years I worked there. Just 4 kids grilled cheeses. I can't imagine how many thousands of dollars they spent on grilled cheeses.
Another one just wanted 5 baked potatoes. That's it, none of the toppings. Ordered once every week.
My point. They aren't there to offer a satisfactory service. They're to capitalize off the ones who will pay. If you didn't get a refund and returned, well they're doing a good job.
