I think being from UW it’s just something in the air that makes u hella incel . Like even a change of campus or just not going to campus for a day clears it right up.

2A I have experience from 2 of top 5 banks, one internship in HS and a co op placement over the summer and I’m really struggling to get a co op this term, even everyone I’ve coffee chatted with ect are all saying co op and internships have been really tight recently and many are on hiring freeze until mid 2027… anyone else with experience struggling to find and how are you going about it?

long story short, a recruiter told me to meet them down in MC and when i went to the location, I ended up here and cant seem to find my way out. im so fried but i needed that internship so bad. send help

In my 4th year now and have less than 3 close friends…how do people make long term friends here?? all the people I met who i can see a possibility being friends with are either exchange students that graduate and went away (or went back to their uni after the term ends) or on different co-op sequence—yes I do still talk to them but I’d love to make some friends that I can meet with irl😔😔idk plz send help

Like if I were to apply to law/med schools I know they will ask, I was told the probation ends after UG but I believe that misconduct stays on forever until some point. I was charged and admitted to minor mis-citation in an assignment in 4th year, prof was nice did not reduce much (still ended up with 90) but she had to report to integrity office.

3 mathies went fishing today. Left Waterloo at 530am for lake Erie. Launched at Erie, went a few miles out with intention of trolling for walleye, but I didn't like how choppy it was. So we turned around, put the boat back on the trailer and did the 2.5 hour drive to lake Simcoe. Toured around a little bit until we found the hot spot then it was nothing but jumbo perch. And we lost another 10 or so that fell off the lines because they were too fat. Plus 4 catfish.

Fun day on the lake in the sun. Each of us headed home with about a kg of filleted fish.

I applied to Bloomberg’s new grad posting and just got an interview. They want to do it in TC, however, I’m not a co-op student anymore. Like I’m currently in my final internship so I don’t have access to waterlooworks. Also I assume only intern interviews are allowed there? Or atleast interviews where the company is using the job portal? Since this is external, will there be any issues with me interviewing at TC for this position?

Hi! I'll be doing a co-op in another province. I'm wondering how you usually handle the logistics of moving to another province for co-op.

1. Do you bring most of your stuff with you, or do you just pack the essentials and leave the rest behind? If you bring a lot, how do you usually transport everything?
2. Do you usually find a place before moving, or do you go there first and look for a place in person? Any tips for finding short-term rentals for a co-op term would be appreciated!

I am posting on behalf of my wife, who is planning to apply for the Master of Public Service (MPS) program at Waterloo for Fall 2027. We would love to hear from current students or alumni.

Her background is in finance, but she is no longer interested in finance roles and wants to rebuild her career in government. A course-based master’s with co-op seems like the best way to make that switch, which is why Waterloo is at the top of her list. She is also applying to MPPA at Carleton and TMU.

Some things we are curious about:

• How competitive is admission, and what kind of profiles get in?
• How are the co-op placements, and do they lead to government jobs?
• Has anyone made a similar switch from finance or another non-policy background?

Has any one been on exchange, I'd love to hear about some your experiences and any recommendations for countries or universities!

I'm mainly looking for somewhere with nice weather, convenient public transportation, and lots of opportunities to experience a different culture. I'm pretty open when it comes to academics, so my major isn't a huge factor in my decision haha.
