Football A name Maryland should seriously consider... Rick Bowie
I know everyone has their own list of coaches they'd like Maryland to go after, but here's a name I haven't seen mentioned much. Rick Bowie, currently the OC at UTSA.
He's a Baltimore native, coached at Gilman and St. Frances, and has worked his way up through the college ranks.
I think Maryland needs to go in a different direction with its next hire. Give me a younger, hungry, offensive-minded coach who knows the area and has relationships with local high school programs.
We have way too much football talent in this state to constantly watch it leave for other schools. Obviously we're never going to keep everyone home, but having someone who actually knows these schools and coaches could go a long way.
At some point you have to take a chance on an up and coming guy before he becomes a big name somewhere else.
Not saying he's the only answer, but I think he'd be a really interesting hire and someone Maryland should absolutely look into.
Men's Basketball Men's basketball TV schedule released
Here's a summary of this season's TV schedule:
B1G+: 3 games
Peacock: 7 games
BTN: 11 games
ESPN: 1 game
FS1: 7 games
Fox: 1 game
You can get FoxOne for $100 for the year. That includes Fox, BTN, and FS1 (not B1G+ though).
Peacock usually offers a black Friday deal of one year for $30.
So that leaves B1G+ and ESPN.
Hopefully those can be found live streaming on YouTube Live (not YouTube TV), but I think that's only available for YouTube premium.

Football How is Mike Locksley this bad at coaching?
What in the world was that fake punt call, why does he love going for 2 which can kill momentum if not converted, and when there was running into the punter why didn't he take the 5 yards and repunt it? It was a bad punt???

Football Is it me or is Malik Washington getting worse every week.

Football Came from the game here are my thoughts
No one has any clue on how to stop Jeremiah Smith. Malik Washington needs to go to another team to develop. Locksley’s decision making is cooked a fake punt on 4th and 9 and going for 2 is unacceptable. Maryland is so bad the stadium was only 75 percent filled. Anyway Locksley knows his time is up.

Football Memphis’s Charles Huff Jr. is from Denton, MD and also worked with Saban, Franklin and even spent a season with Friedgen. He’d be my choice as the new head coach.
I assume he’d take the job if offered but you never know.

Football Neutral Observer Question
I worked at the UConn game a few weeks ago so my algorithm just thinks I need to be here. How is Maryland not even competitive? Being in the Big 10 and a pretty strong region for football recruiting what is the issue? Is it just on the coach or is there some higher problems with getting an NIL budget? I have to imagine there’s some rich alumni who have to love the program besides the UA guy.

Football unconfirmed source: Maryland Head Football Coach Mike Locksley is on his way out
my source tells me that there have been some discussions with key donors and boosters, and they want him out immediately - some are putting some funds together to pay for the buyout.
