Hello, i am seeking to moderate any group, i will pick only one group if multiple offers are posted here. While i have never moderated on reddit before, i was a moderator on a facebook group before so i do have experience in helping keeping a group under control.

While moderating a facebook group: i was in charge of making sure people who wanted to join fullfilled the groups pre-requisites before joining( had a profile picture, had an account more than month or so old, answered the group’s questions and agreed to the rules)

I shut down comments if arguments broke out,

I took down posts if its intent was to cause controversy.

It has been awhile since i moderated the facebook group but im willing to learn or relearn how to moderate a subreddit.

Things you should know

1. Be a cis woman who is still female currently. You don’t need to be Kenyan but it’s great if you are.

2. Be available to moderate consistently. It’s not a very big sub but don’t just hang around doing nothing.

3. You should be able to understand and follow the rules. I’m going to take you through a few things so hopefully you’ve moderated before. If you haven’t, I hope you are a fast learner.

4. This is not required, but if you know how to make and operate bots, that would be an added advantage.

Hello! I'm DrTankHead, interm top mod over at r/DiscordPromotion. I represent a group of subreddits that kinda work together for various things Discord-Related. We inherited the subreddit after the former top-mod put it up for a good home.

Our goal is to reopen the sub and provide a bit of a better service than it's more popular counterpart, r/Discord_Servers_List, focusing on providing somewhat more relaxed rules, allowing more communities to advert their discord server. The subreddit as such has been going under a bit of restructuring as we gather a new mod team and lay things out. We had hoped to open the subreddit by now, but we require a solid team to effectively complete the goals we have in mind. We plan on allowing NSFW Servers to advert, so applicants must be an adult, at least 18+, preferably 21+. We are NOT strictly requiring every moderator be handling NSFW Servers, but we still are requiring adults. If you are interested in just handling SFW servers, just specify that in your application.

Currently, I have just one other moderator, and that isn't going to suffice, as I am sure you all agree, we have lives and those come first. As such, we are hoping to get 2-3 more moderators to give us the baseline we need to effectively do what we need to operate the subreddit. I am additionally seeking someone who will eventually take over the subreddit and run it as part of our group. I myself oversee some other projects and eventually wish to pass this sub onto someone who is willing to work with our group and can dedicate the time needed to maintain it.

Again, the purpose is allowing others to advert their server, but we do require some rules to be followed regarding how that is done, and as such, we preform preliminary audits to ensure the server meets our rules before posting. (Basic stuff, the usual things you'd expect from someone trying to build a community).

Requirements to be a moderator:

• We again, are strictly looking for adults, preferably over 21. This is because we intend to allow NSFW servers to post, assuming they meet criteria. You should be comfortable being exposed to servers catering to adults, enough to validate that they meet our requirements.
• Moderators must primarily communicate in English, but we are glad to accept multilingual individuals, though it is not a requirement.
• Moderators must be comfortable interacting with those looking to post in the subreddit and assist them with the review process.
• Moderators must join our moderation discord server. You are free to use alt accounts to do this, so long as it doesn't impact your ability to moderate - We have tools that may be able to assist you if you don't want to use your main. Specify this in your application
• Moderators are also required to handle all normal moderation duties. Reports of people acting inappropriately, mod mail, mod queue... The usual things.
• Moderators must have some understanding of how both discord and reddit operate. We do offer training, but a baseline knowledge must exist
  • As such, we may deny your application if your account age on reddit or discord is less than a year old, and for reddit, if it has low karma. There is no set karma minimum, it is a vibe check based on if you actually know how to use either platform.
  • Additionally, we request that all accounts be in good standing. Exceptions can be made, but be transparent. Obscuring the truth will affect your application.

We started up r/breakinghockeynews recently and need two mods who are passionate about hockey and the NHL, one to cover the Central Division and one for Pacific. The current mod and I already have the Atlantic and Metro covered.

Our main focus is clean, non-spammy hockey content. No AI junk or ad farms, real stuff only. We will remove bot blogs and sites with a million pop-ups. We also post heavy amounts of game highlights, video clips, and big moments.
