No, OpenAI's current 4o image generator has had this look to it from the start.
It's the "default" look if you don't add any styling prompt information. Very easy to add details about what you want something to look like and it won't be yellow.
It means the SNL person doing this was REALLY putting in 0 work on this. But that's AI images in a nutshell so...
