Dear need of advice

Hello there.

This might be quite off topic or not important to any of you but I’m desperately seeking advice and guidance.

I’m an 18 year old man and I have so many aspirations and things I want to accomplish, business wise and life wise but I think they go hand in hand. I want to become very successful, build something memorable, create and run a business, have a legacy, be a man of conviction like millions of others in my age but I feel stuck, I have the drive or I want to believe I do, I have the vision, I have the desire, but I can’t seem to do anything and it’s stressing me out because time is of the essence even if I’m ā€onlyā€ 18.

I’m stuck in this deep state of analysis paralysis.
I’m seeking advice from anyone but someone who may have been in this same situation or similar and has become something they can be very proud of.

I keep to myself quite a lot as I believe I thrive mostly on my own space and that’s where I also end up thinking a lot about my future. I believe that if I have a concrete plan I can execute but something is keeping me from doing anything. As said I’m stuck in some sort of paralysis where I can’t seem to start. I know I can accomplish something small or big if I know what to do as I’ve done something similar before and became accomplished. It’s quite difficult for me to explain how I’m feeling or what I’m trying to really convey but I did my best for the moment.

In summary I don’t want to spend my life trying to do something and ending up not doing anything because I just get the feeling that I can’t. I want to be proud of who I’m going to become, create something that I can overview and say damn i really did something for myself, I’m doing very well.

I know this is very chaotically written I just had to get my thoughts into perspective and try to word it out as best I could.

Thank you.

I want to stop waiting for the perfect time to change my life

I’ve been thinking about how easy it is to keep postponing personal goals because life never feels completely settled. There is always another responsibility, another excuse, or a reason to wait until next month.

I want to start focusing on small, consistent actions instead of expecting myself to change everything overnight. Whether it’s learning a useful skill, improving my daily routine, or becoming more disciplined, I believe progress matters more than perfection.

One thing I’m trying to remind myself is that a year from now, I’ll wish I had started today.

What is one small change you made that eventually had a bigger impact on your life than you expected?

What keeps you from going after your dream & goals?

I’m exploring an idea to help women who have dreams and goals they want to pursue but sometimes feel stuck because of fear, self-doubt, or overthinking.

It’s something I can personally relate to, but I don’t want to just assume I know what every woman needs.

So I’m curious… what do you feel holds you back the most when it comes to going after something you really want? Is it fear of failure, worrying about what others think, not feeling good enough, or something else?

How to find out life goal

Hey guys,

I'm new to this sub. So I'm kinda in my early 20's and have been working since a couple of yrs. I am in tech and just got into this field with the flow. Not that I'm interested. Recently have been less observant in life lately like I'm just going with the flow...working and then scrolling through instagram or watching some series or worrying about prices getting higher and all. So what's your life goal and like how do you figure it out. Like what's the ultimate thing you are working for. Cuz for me getting a job/promotion is not motivating me enough. Like I want to search for something else.....not that I want to quit job and all. But if I have a clear path or atleast clear goal...I can quit the job. So you got the point right....suggestions of people who had figured it out would really help

I'm 27, and I feel like I'm running out of time to build the life I want. Does anyone else feel this way?

I'm 27, a class A officer and lately, I've been thinking a lot about what I actually want from life.

I want financial freedom, a strong body, meaningful relationships, the ability to travel, and the freedom to spend my time doing things I genuinely enjoy.

The problem is that life keeps getting busier. Work takes up time, responsibilities keep piling up, and the days somehow disappear before I feel like I've made meaningful progress toward my personal goals.

I don't want to wake up at 40 with a decent career and financial stability but realize that I spent my entire twenties just fulfilling responsibilities.

I'm not unhappy with my life. I just feel like there's so much more I want to do, and I'm struggling to figure out how to make it all happen.

For those of you in your 30s, 40s, or beyond:

What do you wish you'd understood at 27? And what would you do differently if you could start over?

The Rise of Principles

Deep principles such as energy, diversity, renewal and change, and relationship take root in the Tree of Life, rising like sap to shape growth, resilience, and flourishing, with visible effects in both human lives and the natural world.

For example:Ā

Energy: When a person consistently gets enough rest and exercise, they have the energy to be productive, positive, and engaged with others. In nature, sunlight provides the energy that allows plants to grow, supporting all the life that depends on them.

Diversity: A person who is exposed to different cultures, ideas, and experiences often becomes more adaptable and understanding. Similarly, an ecosystem with many different species is more resilient and better able to withstand challenges such as disease or drought.

Renewal and Change: Someone who reflects on their mistakes and learns new skills can grow into a wiser and more capable person. In nature, forests renew themselves after disturbances, with new growth emerging and restoring the health of the ecosystem.

Relationship: Strong relationships built on trust and support help people thrive emotionally and socially. In a forest, trees, fungi, and other organisms work together through interconnected networks, creating a healthy and flourishing environment.

If you could only work on one goal for the next 6 months, what would it be?

Life moves fast, and it feels like most of us carry around five or six goals at once and make real progress on none of them.
If you had to drop everything else and commit to just one, which would you choose?
Would you learn a language, change careers, get in shape, start a side business, finish a degree, or go after something most people around you wouldn't understand?
I'm not looking for the goal that sounds most impressive. I'm interested in the one that would actually change your daily life if you pulled it off, and that you could realistically fit around work and everything else.

Learning to cook 30 meals from scratch this year

I've lived on takeout and frozen food for way too long, and it's starting to bother me. My goal is to learn 30 different meals I can make from scratch by the end of the year, nothing fancy, just solid dishes I can repeat without a recipe. I'm starting with one new meal a week and keeping a simple list of what I've mastered.

The bigger reason is that I want to feel more capable and independent, and to have people over without ordering pizza. Has anyone else set a skill-based goal like this? How did you stay consistent?

I want to open my own restaurant in the future

Around 2016 - 2017 when I was 5 - 6 I went to chuck e cheese a couple times and this certain location still had the animatronic show times and after the show ended the mascot would come out dressed up as chuck and I loved just being there it was a weird feeling but it felt like there was zero judgment even as a neglected, socially delayed, social anxiety kid and ever since my brain was developed enough to think about my future and since the fact they canceled the animatronics I've wanted to open up my own animatronic gaming pizza place maybe with a bunch of Xbox series x's too for the newer generation but also with the evolution of robotic technology specifically in the Tesla district and how their robots can walk talk and self balance i was wondering in the future if that would be available on a bigger scale to have walking talking animatronics to interact with the people I've already made several character concepts and such but I highly doubt I will ever be able to achieve this because I dont think I can get 1 million dollars to spend on a decently sized old restaurant building, but I will try!

How to make goals for yourself

Hello,
I am 19 and about to move in with my partner. I want to create a schedule for us and give myself time to work towards my goals. Bad news is idk what they are. I am in such a big transition stage in my life right now and I don’t know what I want at all.

Any advice on where to start? I feel like I haven’t made goals for myself since the beginning of highschool and I feel lost…
