Because people are still in the denial stage and desperately want to hold onto their childhood belief that politicians are their friends and electorialism matters. The fact that AES is a proud capitalist that has repeatedly given ground to right-wing framing is too painful to accept.

As for Abdul, I mean yeah he's Elizabeth Warren with better foreign policy. I think for me, him winning his race would be more important from a symbolism standpoint--that the Muslim pro-Palestine, left of the mainstream Democratic Party candidate can still win in a purple state gives credence to our broader movement.

Go look up the output from this "reporter". You should assume everything he writes is framed in a way to try to harm/undermine the left. Whatever level of "truth" exists in this story is being spun in the worst possible way for AES and Hasan. That's the only assumption you should make regarding a MSM story about these 2 subjects.

It’s not that it’s implausible it’s that CNN is untrustworthy and unless somebody confirms it there’s a big possibility they just lied about it lol
