Absolutely not, most of them got where they are by stealing these awesome ideas from others, making them more shitty to milk them to death and by being good con salesmen.

I think you cant get involved with tech without having that inner child sparklike interest in how things work and how to create them. Did they derail after 5% of the journey to become money obsessed idiots? 100% yes.

Tech billionaires are mostly former trust fund kids in business and finance who knew these guys at school and brought their ideas to market. They were never these guys. If you have ever worked in tech you are very aware of the difference.

Or just somebody who believes that humans are not evil from birth. All billionaires are created due to trauma. Nobody "needs" 1 billion+, its a defense mechanism. But you cant convince me these billionaires were pure evil when they were 5 years old.

What tech did Benzos build other than a website? Same for Zuckerberg? And same for Musk actually. They all got rich from websites, which were already in existence for years before they found a market.

The only "builders" would be Wozniak and the dude Bill Gates fleeced for the original QDOS operating system. Gates and Jobs just directed traffic, they didn't build anything themselves.

Some of them? Maybe, I would consider this true for Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. While they both had wealthy upbringings, they both clearly had a mind and wonder for the tech of their time that still affects us today.

But people like Musk and Thiel were only ever in the technologie world for money and power. Musk put on the mask of world saving tech billionaire guy for a while, but that mask slipped off about the time his cave submarine idea was blasted (probably before then, but that's when I noticed).

You later points on not believing there are evil 5 year olds is valid. It's not often that children that young show sociopathic tendencies, though I'm sure it happens. But that's not the point any folks were really making, as far as I'm able to tell.
