if you want to ban dog meat then why cant you do that with chicken, beef, pig & etc.

personally I do eat meat and I eat every meat that is legal in my country.

what was the reason for banning only dog meat in SKorea. Just bcz they are pets?

Democracy manifest.

Most people don’t want to see dogs eaten. Politicians ban it.

Most people want to eat beef. Politicians allow it.

I believe this goes against the spirit of the Constitution, because eating dog meat does not directly infringe on the rights of others. What gives the state the right to prohibit an adult from voluntarily engaging in such an activity? Isn't this the state imposing one particular set of cultural values on everyone? Isn't one of the purposes of legislation to protect minorities from the tyranny of the majority?

It infringes on the rights of the dog.

Eating chicken meat infringes on the rights of the chicken.

Eating pig meat infringes on the rights of the pig.

I don't think animal rights should automatically override the rights and autonomy of human beings
