Place While the world was watching his movies, Christian Bale was planning a foster care community that changes lives.

^ This

If I had that kind of money I would do the same :) there is not better legacy than helping people in the present and future.

Well, no, this doesn't solve any systemic issues this is him helping children that wouldn't have gotten a chance to grow in a safe environment without him. The systemic issue will go on until at a government level we tax people taking part in our society and direct that money toward people in need like kids in the foster care system. There's almost half a million kids in the foster system and one millionaire like Bale can barely even dent it.

Not to take away from what he's done. This compound is a fourth of his networth so he's not doing it just for the tax writeoffs.

It’s great he’s helping treat the symptoms, but we really need to focus on the disease.

Hint: the disease is billionaires.

Yes, doing good in the background while being a complete ass in public - fits both Bruce Wayne and Christian Bale, if the reports of how he treats people on set are true. I've heard the audio of him going off on someone for breaking his concentration and whining about how hard staying in character can be for a method actor. Having a bad day, or thinks he's God's gift to Hollywood? They have similar quirks. Bruce always trying to portray himself as a spoiled, rich, party boy who just fails upwards and has no regard for the "little people" around him.

I mean, yeah I have my share of annoying coworkers, but none of them have helped build communities for foster children so I give them a little bit more slack

What reports on how he treats people on set?  He explained shortly after and pretty clearly about the only incident you mentioned.  I don't see how him being an intense method actor has anything to do with how the people he worked with viewed him as a person.

I mean. He got the guy fired and taken off the movie. I'd say he didn't really feel that bad about his actions, and made a public statement to avoid backlash. And, "I'm sorry I was in character" and then following through with having the guy removed.. that's pretty shity. Oh, thats not my real personality, I was deep in character.. but, yeah I still want him fired or I quit.

Give me a break...

He threatened to have him fired, never did, and apologized after.  And I suppose you've never lost your cool and had to apologize for it later?  Or maybe you're just one of those guys you think Bale is without knowing him personally and think you're the perfect man.  Where were those other instances you were talking about, by the way?

The manufactured rage is unbelievable.
