With my friend going to work in another department I have been offered the opportunity to work fulltime.
I said yes in the moment but I actually need to think about it, so I'm going to message my manager later.
I do want more money but holy fuck I hate this place. I don't want to be a manager here either.
I can probably just bump my hours up a bit but yeah, I'm looking for a way out.

I was lecturing /u/baseballlover723 on proper ear hygiene two weeks ago, only to have my ear clog up while out of town and now no amount of cleaning will get this compacted wax out.
I didn't clean them regularly enough!

I should do ear drops I've noticed some gunk, so I should probably do the ear drops now instead of waiting until the start of next month like my doctor suggested.

In your opinion what’s the best manga you’ve ever read that has yet to become an anime?

Boy's abyss or Anjou-san.

Probably the Sunday Syndicate? After all, direct Sunday Silence child versus a grandchild of Tony Bin. And the game does make kind of a point of including her with other Sunday-lings, like her fatty event with Special Week or a few events in her career and a MANT event that pairs her with Silence Suzuka.
Then again, knowing how Cygames does things, if she were featured in that episode or a theoretical "Sunday Syndicate vs Tony's Angels" thing in the future, they'd probably play it as her thinking the whole thing is dumb and not wanting to take sides (as a reference to being descended from both).

TBF the episode also featured grandchildren along with direct foals in their respective teams, though I do agree on the closer relationship probs taking primacy
And the game does make kind of a point of including her with other Sunday-lings, like her fatty event with Special Week
This reminds me, I really should probs run Ayabe soon, along with all the other Umas I've had for months but have been too fucking lazy to actually play
2
u/Esovan13 3h ago
I'm really fingers crossed that her career story will help change your opinion of her. The first half (up to Kikuka Sho) is mostly the same as her story in RTTT, not exactly but hits most of the same beats, but what really elevates it imo is how it handles where she goes after that.
It doesn't change what you've said is your main issue, but maybe the different presentation and expanded story will give you enough things to like that you'll be able to ignore it (or at least not let it dominate your opinion).

Some of the missions are so incredibly deculture-coded that, if not for the fact the protagonists aren't supposed to be the ones with access to obscene mega death WMD superweapons, it might as well a macross game for those bits.

there's a comedy skit youtuber who goes by 'long beach griffy' whose career has taken a bit of a turn. a few months back, he was high on shrooms and jumped off the roof of an RV, landed face first on the concrete, and permanently fucked up his face. doctors had to literally take off his face, fix all the broken bones and shit, and stitch it back on. he posted an update video yesterday and you can see his face is pretty much paralyzed, dude literally looks like (as one of the comments put it) he's wearing a mask of his own face. most of the comments were wishing him well and leaving kind words, but i saw one comment say an encouraging "you're looking great and you'll be back to normal in no time!" and one of the replies to that comment said, nope, this is his normal from now on. dude may never move his face again.
rough stuff, must be hard to deal with a life changing reality like that. especially when you weren't even fully cognizant when you did the thing that fucked you up. moral of the story, dont do drugs i guess

what a stupid game i love it
[mgs4]you feel so slow and lethargic moving around, just like an old man. The roleplaying in MGS3 was so good but this doubled down hard.
cut scenes where you can fuck around as Mk II, just a dynamic edition
[mgs4]how dare they make Raiden this cool and not let him be playable at all. I thought for sure the second time he fights Vamp you would get to control him but no you have to play as the old fucker in split screen
[mgs4]turns out Raiden shouldnt have been worried about Rose and Campbell, but instead Rose on the codec swinging her boobs around
[mgs4]revisiting Shadow Moses ruled, felt like coming home. They could have taken away the minimap, have that shit memorized
[mgs4]Naomi Hunter I need carnally - related skeet
[mgs4]Her and Vamp were so cool together. I'm not sure if youre supposed to hate Vamp b/c of the Emma stuff, but I've always liked him and this game is no different.
[mgs4]Ocelot larping as Liquid the entire time, hilarious
[mgs4]"Oh that was actually Solidus that was burned, they took parts from him and Liquids bodies to build me back up.... Wasnt Liquids body also destroyed. Also wasnt [MG2]Big Boss burned to crisp by Snake in the first place lol [mgs4]I didnt actually care much for the post game stuff but I can imagine it did a lot for people. If the game ended with the gunshot at the cemetary off screen I would not have minded at all
[mgs4]The Sorrow was in the end credits??? Was he even in the game?
[mgs4]Also in retrospect, I wish Zero was more of a character in MGS3 tbh he wasnt that memorable
[mgs4]Sunny is so cute and deserves the world. I would happily eat eggs unlike your ungrateful dads
[mgs4]Shoutout Raiden for just dumping Sunny on these guys and then fucking off lol
[mgs4]Shouldnt Mei Ling have conducted the wedding ceremony? She is a ship captain so she could do it
I still want to read the screen play book / maybe watch a speedrun if it exists for this game, but otherwise Im pretty satisfied.
Will hold off on jumping into Peace Walker for a bit

There's a song that I listened to which was not on YouTube, Soundcloud, Bilibili or even Spotify. So, much like Thanos, I decided that "I'll do it myself" and uploaded it to YouTube.
Maybe I'll get suddenly German suplexed by a random legal team and 69 different copyright strikes for it, but even so, I think doing my part in keeping obscure songs alive is worth that lil bit of danger. And yes, not surprising to anyone, it's Touhou. Maybe I'll post that on the next Touhou week, and maybe I'll upload more things later on. Only stuff that seemingly can't be found anywhere else, though.
That also was my first real encounter with the ID verification nonsense, as putting up external (Twitter) links for the artists' social media pages would've required me to do that. I didn't do that, of course.

Was browsing the information super highway when I realized I'm probably reading like 30% AI and people responding to AI, and another great percentage is people pretending to be other people if they haven't automated it into bots, or farming engagement with disingenuous questions.
I often end up on fitness and strength discussion pages from like 9-13 years ago. I'm confident it's real even when people give bad advice.
Anyway reading stuff online feels bad so I'm gonna stop. I don't know what feels good yet.

[JoJo Confession (Mid-to-Late Part 7 Spoilers, not safe for Anime-onlies)]NGL the more I see people mention it the more I dislike the idea of Diego being seen as "Good Dio". Partly because I think that devalues both as characters, but also because I find the very subject of calling Diego anything than a very dark shade of gray is... not something I think I'll ever agree on. Even setting aside him being an asshole, there's so many scenes in Part 7 where I'm like "Yeah this guy is just one stone mask away from turning into the guy from Part 1" since frankly the guy is every bit as much of a misanthrope as his OG Universe counterpart.
[Cont.]I think there is something to be said about how Araki definitely put way more effort into making the guy more obviously sympathetic than his Part 1 counterpart, but honestly I think a lot of people like to use that as an excuse to give him a get out of jail free card on anything he may say. I think I mostly started thinking about it more as I looked back on the Musical adaptation of Part 1, which similarly does portray Dio more sympathetically, yet it still ultimately settled on "Yeah no amount of sad backstory excuses you being a freaking monster." I think it's perfectly understandable to be sympathetic to the plight of less fortunate people like that, and I do think his character is meant to be sympathetic... I just doubt the intent was ever to make him anything remotely close to a good guy.
[Basically]I kinda wonder how Anime-Only people are gonna react to some later stuff with him since rn he's only really appeared in episode 1, 'Cause I think Part 7 discussions are kinda in desperate need of some fresh takes
